THE HAGUE — Yesterday minister of Planning, Administration and Service, Etienne van der Horst, visited the Service Centrum Drechtsteden, a collaboration of organizations of the South Holland municipalities Dordrecht, Papendrecht, Sliedrecht, Zwijndrecht, Alblasserdam and Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht.The visit was meant to obtain information on the collaboration in order to make a new start with the Shared Service Organization of Curaçao. This organization was set up two years ago but hasn’t yielded any concrete results so far.
The delegation from Curaçao was welcomed by mayor of Dordrecht, Arno Brok, and attended presentations from Alderman Hans Tanis and director Jan Huizelendoorn and secretary Marcel van Bijnen of the Service Center. “Besides sharing experiences, the program included an introductory on the collaboration in the Drechtsteden and the organization of the communal arrangement. Of course, the guests were given a tour of the departments of the Service Centrum Drechtsteden”, the center wrote in a press report.
Van der Horst will also visit the Department of Public Works, the Directorate-General Organisatie & Bedrijfsvoering Rijk, the Bestuursacademie and Stadsgewest Haaglanden this week. On Friday evening he will attend a presentation from the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, Ronald Plasterk during a meeting of the Association Antillean Network.
